Directory submission is the composition and submission of a site summary description that includes the web site's primary search terms and is compatible with the editorial guidelines of the directory, the "style" of the category editor, and relevant to the web site's content.<br><br>

Editors review site submissions, then place these sites in one or more "categories" that are relevant to them. Currently, Yahoo is charging a $299.00 annual fee to get listed in the Yahoo Directory. LookSmart charges a review fee of $49.00. LookSmart also charges a $150.00 deposit fee that is used against click charges of $0.15 per click. LookSmart requires a minimum advertising spend of $15.00 per month. Fees for listing a site in additional categories is $49.00 per category. The fee for changing a site description is $49.00.<br><br>
