<strong>Virus Scanning</strong><br>
Viruses are one of the biggest threats to a system's security. Advanced Media Productions offers Norton Anti-Virus protection to its dedicated server customers. Each server will be loaded with the latest virus signatures (which will be kept up to date on a daily basis) and the server will be setup to automatically detect viruses as files are added to the server. If a virus is detected, the system will attempt to first clean the virus and then will quarantine the file so our support team can view the file.<br><br>

<strong>Managed Firewall Services</strong><br>
Advanced Media Productions offers a robust managed firewall solution at a reasonable price with the single-server NetScreen-5 security appliance. Although the Network Operating Center architecture is extremely well protected, many customers should consider adding managed firewall services for added protection. Our networks are protected from the outside world, but customers are sharing an internal network with thousands of other servers.<br><br>
<strong>Netscreen-5</strong><br>
The Netscreen-5 combines firewall, VPN and traffic-shaping functionality into one box. When connected to a server in the data center it filters both incoming and outgoing data to protect the server against hackers and DDoS attacks. The firewall uses custom-built ASIC processors that manage the firewall access policies and encryption algorithms in hardware, making it a much faster option than other solutions. In certain modes, the Netscreens suffer almost no reduction in throughput. The unit's throughput is limited to 10 Mbps on our 100 Mbps network. In addition, the Netscreen-5 can only handle 10 concurrent VPN connections. This is a good solution for anyone who wants to add a simple robust firewall to a single server.<br><br>

* Our managed firewall service means that our engineers will monitor the customer firewall and we guarantee a response to a "meaningful" security event within 4 hours. Advanced Media Productions will provide up to two policy changes per month after the initial firewall configuration. This is a response at the firewall level only and will most often entail the blocking of a particular IP address. There is no interaction with the customer server OS or applications. Please note that customers WILL NOT have access to their firewalls for management purposes when Advanced Media Production is managing the firewall.<br>
